Valley Preparatory School

Valley Preparatory School (VPS) is a prestigious preschool to 8th-grade institution located in the heart of Redlands, California. We are proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering a rigorous academic program that challenges students to excel in all areas of their education. Our school is currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 academic year for students aged three to thirteen. We offer flexible all-day and half-day options for our preschool program.

Faculty & Staff

Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing a nurturing and academically challenging environment for all students. With an average of 15 years of teaching experience, our teachers are highly qualified and trained in the International Baccalaureate curriculum. We pride ourselves on our low student-to-teacher ratio, which allows our teachers to provide individualized attention and instruction.

Academics & Curriculum

At VPS, we offer a rigorous academic program that emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. Our curriculum is based on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) for preschool to 5th grade, and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for 6th to 8th grade. These programs provide a framework for inquiry-based learning that encourages students to become independent thinkers and problem solvers.

In addition to our core subjects, we offer a wide range of electives, including visual and performing arts, world languages, technology, and physical education. We also provide a variety of support services, including instructional support for students with learning differences, and English language learner support.

Experiential Learning & Extracurricular Programs

At VPS, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom walls. Our students participate in a variety of experiential learning opportunities, including field trips, service learning projects, and local and international travel. We offer a range of extracurricular programs, including sports teams, academic clubs, and performing arts groups. International Baccalaureate Program

STEAM and Lango Programs
