Hemlock Animal Hospital

Hemlock Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary hospital located in the heart of Dahlonega. Our mission is to provide the highest standard of veterinary care to our patients, while also maintaining a comfortable and familiar environment for our clients. We take pride in offering competitive prices and state-of-the-art veterinary care, using only the highest quality products to keep our patients healthy. Our dedicated team of veterinary professionals works closely with each client to provide the individualized service that their four-legged family members need.

Our Team

Hemlock Animal Hospital is co-owned by two energetic and experienced veterinarians, Dr. Emily Wallin, and Dr. Viviana Rodriguez. Both have been working in the north Georgia mountains for over 6 years and are familiar with the unique needs of our clientele and community. Our team also includes Teresa, a fifth-generation Dawsonville native and licensed dog breeder, who joined us after working for the USPS for 16 years. Teresa has a passion for breeding Border Collies and takes care of a crew of pets that includes 11 dogs, 3 cats, 7 ball pythons, and around 30 chickens.

Hailey, a Dahlonega native, has been working in veterinary medicine since March 2018 and joined our team in December 2021. She has always had a strong love for animals and takes great care of both our patients and their owners. In her free time, Hailey enjoys spending long nights in the woods with her two Treeing Walker Coonhounds, which she coon hunts with.

John, a sophomore student majoring in Biology at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, joined our team as a technician assistant. He plans to attend Veterinary School after finishing his undergraduate degree and is an enthusiastic and dedicated member of our team.

Our Facility

Our state-of-the-art facility includes a spacious reception area, comfortable exam rooms, a modern surgical suite, and a fully-equipped laboratory for in-house diagnostics. We also have a retail area stocked with the highest quality pet food, treats, and supplies.

Online Pharmacy

We are excited to offer an online pharmacy via vetsfirstchoice, where clients can order prescription medications, food, and supplies for their pets. This convenient service allows clients to easily access the products they need, while also supporting the local veterinary practice.

Emergency Care

In the event of an after-hours emergency, we refer our clients to Animal Emergency of Gainesville. This emergency veterinary hospital is staffed by experienced veterinarians and technicians who can provide the urgent care that pets need.
