Ballet
Our ballet program develops foundational technique through structured training in proper alignment, turnout, and graceful movement. Students progress through levels I-III, learning traditional vocabulary while building strength and flexibility. This discipline serves as the technical base for all other dance styles offered at our studio.
Synergy Competition Team
This elite team offers advanced dancers opportunities to compete nationally and perform at special events. Members receive specialized training in multiple styles and participate in choreography that consistently earns top awards at competitions across the country.
Hip-Hop
Our hip-hop classes teach current urban dance styles with emphasis on rhythm, isolations, and freestyle expression. Students learn choreography from popular music videos while developing coordination and performance energy in a fun, high-energy environment.
Leaps and Turns
This specialized class focuses on improving technical elements across all dance styles. Students work systematically to increase flexibility, perfect pirouettes, and master various leaps through progressive drills and strength-building exercises.
Lyrical & Contemporary
Combining ballet and jazz techniques, this style emphasizes emotional storytelling through movement. Classes focus on fluid transitions, floor work, and dynamic control while developing artistry and interpretive skills in students.

Founder Wendy Attix has taught dance for 26+ years. Trained at Florida State University and University of South Florida, she combines professional expertise with a passion for developing confident performers through personalized instruction.
Jermaine Thornton
Nutcracker Director
Ballet instructor Jermaine Thornton holds a BFA in Dance Performance from USF. With Edinburgh Fringe Festival experience and directorship of Florida Dance Theatre, he brings professional expertise in classical and contemporary techniques.
Alyssa Eldridge
Office Staff & Instructor
Alyssa Eldridge, a former WDC student, teaches while pursuing her counseling degree. With teaching experience since 2016 and academic honors from Warner University, she combines dance expertise with youth development knowledge.
Breanna Jones
Synergy Instructor
Breanna Jones brings 15 years of competitive dance experience from Wright Step School. A former UCF dance team member, she teaches weekly classes while working in sports marketing, combining performance expertise with business acumen.
Olivia McCartney
Synergy Instructor
Olivia McCartney holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Florida Southern College. With training from Patel Conservatory and experience in professional companies, she specializes in blending athletic precision with artistic expression in her teaching.

What dance styles do you offer for children?
We offer ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, clogging, and lyrical & contemporary classes for ages 2-18 with specialized programs for different skill levels.
How can dancers join the competition team?
Our Synergy Team requires auditions. Members participate in regional/national competitions and perform at special events throughout the year.
Do you have performance opportunities for students?
All students perform annually at Lakeland's RP Funding Center. Competitive team members also participate in multiple shows and competitions.
What qualifications do your instructors have?
Our instructors hold degrees in dance performance, communications, and counseling. They have professional experience in performance companies and university training programs.
Are there adult dance classes available?
While our primary focus is youth education, we occasionally offer adult classes and community performance opportunities. Contact us for current offerings.
