We are delighted to introduce you to one of the most cherished sites along the shores of Lake Champlain. Our twenty-six acres of cedars and orchards provide spacious campsites with ample shade and privacy, ensuring a tranquil and natural atmosphere for those who enjoy peace and quiet.

We invite you to experience the unique pleasures and treasures of Champlain Adult Campground. Open from May 15th to October 5th, we welcome pets and offer a range of accommodations and activities that cater to retired people, couples without children, and all who appreciate and respect the environment.

Accommodations

We offer a variety of accommodations to suit your needs. Our spacious private sites can accommodate trailers up to 30 feet in length, providing full hook-up RV sites with water, electricity, and sewer facilities. For those who prefer a more rustic experience, we have shaded, open, and waterfront tent sites available, along with one lakefront site featuring a lean-to with a small deck. Each site comes with a fireplace and picnic table, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

For a more luxurious stay, we offer a one-bedroom furnished cottage on Lake Front with a large deck overlooking the west shore of Lake Champlain. The cottage is available for monthly or seasonal rentals, offering a comfortable and relaxing retreat for your stay.

Amenities

At Champlain Adult Campground, we prioritize the comfort and convenience of our guests. Our pavilion is centrally located with a covered area and picnic tables, providing a perfect spot for socializing and enjoying meals. We also offer modern bathrooms with flush toilets and showers, as well as a laundry room, which are easily accessible from all sites.

We are committed to environmental stewardship and strive to protect and preserve our beautiful land. Our roads are gravel, and we ensure that all sites have fresh grass. We also request that all campers put their household trash in the designated dumpster and their recyclables in the appropriate containers. Additionally, we compost and handle household trash and recyclables free of charge.

Grand Isle, known as "the beauty spot of Vermont, " offers a variety of activities and attractions for visitors. From relaxing on the beautiful beaches to enjoying water sports such as swimming, kayaking, and fishing, there's something for everyone. For those interested in exploring the local area, we recommend visiting the Lake Champlain Basin Program headquarters in the historic Gordon House in Grand Isle to learn more about the lake and its preservation efforts.

Bicycling enthusiasts will appreciate the softly undulating landscape of the entire Lake Champlain region, which is ideal for cycling. Localmotion has Island Line Bike Ferry, and there are numerous tours and loops through Vermont, New York, and Canada that offer a unique perspective on the area.

Birding enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunity to watch water birds, such as ducks, geese, gulls, and herons, as well as an array of songbirds, including the acrobatic swallow. Occasionally, bald eagles, falcons, hawks, osprey, owls, and vultures can also be spotted in the skies. The Grand Isle Ferry Landing is a designated site on the Lake Champlain Birding Trail.
