Joseph Z. Konopka Funeral Home, LLC, with its rich history and tradition of excellence, began in 1953 when Maryann and Joseph Konopka opened its doors in North Bergen, New Jersey. Today, the funeral home continues to thrive under the direction of its daughter, Lizabeth, who tirelessly follows in her parents' footsteps. Our History

In 1952, Maryann and Joseph Konopka, with their young daughter Lizabeth, moved into an 18th-century home atop the Palisades overlooking the Hudson River in North Bergen, New Jersey. For the next year, they worked tirelessly to convert the second floor into their apartment, with the first floor serving as their Funeral Home. Despite the challenges, the Konopka family remained committed to delivering exceptional service and personalized care to their community.
