Growing Fresh, Supporting Local, and Building Community Together

Welcome to Lansing's Farm Market, an eighth-generation family-owned and operated farm that has been cultivating the family land since 1964. Al Lansing, the current owner, started farming at the young age of 14 and has since expanded the farm to include greenhouses, farmers markets, greenhouse tomatoes, and a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program. Al, his wife Donna, and their children Sabrina, Jessica, Albert, and Patrick run the farm operations, growing fresh fruits, berries, vegetables, and a wide variety of flowering annuals and perennials.

At Lansing's Farm Market, we are dedicated to supporting local agriculture and our community. We show our support through various fundraising activities, leadership in farmers markets and farm organizations. Our mission is to provide our customers with fresh and healthy produce while creating a sense of community. We are proud to have served our customers for several decades, and we look forward to continuing to do so for many more years to come.

Our Services

Lansing's Farm Market offers a range of services to meet the needs of our customers. Here are some of the services we provide:

  • Greenhouses: In 1980, we added greenhouses to our farm operations. Our greenhouses allow us to grow a wide variety of plants, including annuals, perennials, and vegetables. We take great care in maintaining our greenhouses, ensuring that our plants receive the best care possible.
  • Farmers Markets: In 2006, we started selling our produce at farmers markets. We believe that farmers markets are a great way to connect with our customers and sell our fresh produce. We currently sell our produce at various farmers markets in the area.
  • Greenhouse Tomatoes: In 2008, we added greenhouse tomatoes to our range of produce. We take great care in growing our tomatoes, ensuring that they receive the best care possible. Our greenhouse tomatoes are a popular item among our customers, and we sell them both at our farm stand and at farmers markets.
  • Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program: In 2010, we started our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program. A CSA membership means that you purchase a share of our harvest for the entire 20-week season. By becoming a CSA member, you are supporting our farm and receiving a weekly supply of fresh produce. We offer several CSA membership options, including Monday, Wednesday, and Friday shares, as well as milk and flower shares.
  • Farm Stand: Our farm stand is open daily, offering a range of fresh produce, plants, and other farm-related products. We take great pride in our farm stand, ensuring that it is well-stocked and clean at all times. Our farm stand is a popular destination for customers in the area, and we are proud to serve them.

Shared Risk

When you become a member of our CSA program, you are taking on a shared risk with us. This means that if we have a bountiful harvest, you will receive a large portion of it. However, if we have a poor harvest due to weather or other factors, you will receive a smaller portion. This concept is essential to the CSA model, and it helps to create a sense of community between our members and us.

We understand that the shared risk concept can be challenging for some customers, but we believe that it is a crucial part of the CSA program. We do our best to ensure that our members receive a steady supply of fresh produce throughout the season, but we cannot guarantee a specific amount. By becoming a CSA member, you are acknowledging that you understand and accept the shared risk concept.
