Our History

Our story began with the founding of Howard Lumber, a single location that has since grown into four operating divisions under AHC Hardwood Group. Today, we are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with operations in Georgia and Tennessee. Over the years, we have expanded our services to include kiln drying yards, moulding production facilities, a Tennessee-based distribution center, an export and import team, and a logistics division with flatbed common carrier capacity servicing areas from Texas to Virginia.

• Mouldings: As one of the largest producers of specialty hardwood mouldings in the Southeast, we offer custom moulding and reman services to meet our customers' specific needs.

• Import Lumber: We import the finest African and South American hardwoods available, offering a diverse range of species and products.

• Export Lumber: We supply the worldwide market from more than 30 sawmills, providing quality lumber to customers around the globe.

• Distribution Warehouse: Our Tennessee-based distribution center distributes premium hardwood products to Tennessee and Kentucky, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service.

• Logistics: Our logistics division serves as a third-party logistics provider in the Southeast, offering flatbed common carrier capacity to meet our customers' transportation needs.

• VikingWood TM: Our green alternative to chemically preserved wood, VikingWood TM is a sustainable choice for builders and homeowners looking for environmentally friendly products.
