Our History

Our company's roots can be traced back to the teachings of owner Jeff Garlach's parents, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. Jeff's father, Garth Garlach, played a significant role in shaping Jeff's work ethic and the eventual establishment of Big Racquette Property Services.

Jeff started working at a young age, helping out at his parent's ceramic shop and learning various trades, including plowing and driving heavy equipment from his father. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Art from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, which paved the way for him to start his own business venture.

In 1999, Jeff bought his first plow and started plowing residential properties. In 2002, he expanded his services to commercial plowing contracts, and in 2006, he established the name "Big Racquette". The company saw significant growth in 2006, with the addition of Parking Lot Sweeping and Commercial and Residential Lawn Care Services. In 2011, Big Racquette moved to its current location on County Route 37, which has since expanded from a 400 Sq. Ft. warehouse to a 2,200 Sq. Ft. building. In 2012, the company added tractor-snow blower combinations for residential driveways and became a distributor for Belgard in 2013. The year 2014 saw the addition of Aquascape Products for ponds and water features.
