At Legacy Solar, we are dedicated to providing clean and renewable energy solutions to the northwestern Wisconsin community. We believe that solar energy is not only a smart investment for the environment, but also for your pocketbook. As a full-service solar energy provider, we assist you at every step of the process, from the initial consultation and site assessment to the professional installation and funding application processes. Our services include:

• Consultation and Site Assessment: We provide a detailed site assessment to determine the solar energy potential of your location. We analyze the solar energy available at your site, possible mounting options for the system, cost estimates, and a financial analysis of your renewable energy investment.
• Education: We offer a variety of solar energy classes through the Midwest Renewable Energy Association. Our classes cover topics such as solar electricity and solar water heating, and can be catered to fit your needs and your audience.
• Design and Installation: We provide high-quality, code-compliant installations of both residential and commercial solar electric systems of a variety of sizes. We offer both roof and ground mount options, depending on your preference and the solar energy potential of your location.
• Funding Assistance: We assist in all funding application processes, including liaising with your electric utility company and providing information on local and state incentives.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Legacy Solar, we are committed to furthering the principles of sustainability. We began in 2002 with a desire to provide clean energy sources, and since then, we have installed both residential and commercial solar electric systems of a variety of sizes. We are proud of our role in creating clean energy legacies for a sustainable future.

Education

In addition to designing and installing solar energy systems, we also provide education services. We teach a variety of solar energy classes through the Midwest Renewable Energy Association. Our classes cover topics such as solar electricity and solar water heating, and can be catered to fit your needs and your audience. Our owner, Kristopher Schmid, has been offering industry-leading professional training for solar photovoltaics (PV) through the MREA since 2009. He currently teaches PV classes for the MREA. Design and Site Assessment

The best first step to using solar energy is to have a site assessment. A site assessment will provide you with details on the solar energy available at your site, possible mounting options for the system, cost estimates, and a financial analysis of your renewable energy investment. Most importantly, a site assessment allows you to make a well-informed decision. We provide a detailed in-person site assessment to best determine the correct solar fit for your home based on your electrical usage and personal preferences.

Installation

We provide professional, high-quality, code-compliant installations. Whether you need a single solar module powering a few lights and a radio or a larger commercial application, we can meet your needs. Since 2002, Legacy Solar has installed both residential and commercial solar electric systems of a variety of sizes, in NW Wisconsin.
