Our Story

For over 35 years, West Construction has been a leading name in the construction industry, dedicated to building quality custom homes in the most prestigious neighborhoods and private communities of Paradise Valley, Arcadia, and North Scottsdale. Our commitment to excellence, hard work, and personal touch, coupled with our commitment to integrity, sets us apart from the rest.

Our journey began with Ed West, who worked as a mechanical engineer at Garrett Air Research before deciding to venture into building homes on the side. With a growing family, he and his wife, Beth, decided to focus solely on building and incorporated West Construction. His background in engineering and emphasis on details gained the company a reputation for high-quality, customized work.

Ed stood as the President of West Construction from 1986 through 2010 when he semi-retired from daily operations. He continues to stay involved as an advisor. His son, Scott, took over the reins in 2015 and has been leading the company ever since. Scott is proud and honored to be continuing the family business and is committed to upholding the quality and integrity upon which West Construction was founded.

Our Team

Our team consists of experienced project managers, meticulous craftsmen, talented tradesmen, and suppliers who work together to transform your house plans into a home you will love living in. Each member of our team is dedicated to ensuring that every project meets our high standards of quality and excellence.

Scott West, our President, is instrumental in the vision and development of each project. His artistic and creative talents, combined with his strong analytical and financial experience, guide the company's growth and ensure that every home built by West Construction is a testament to our commitment to quality and integrity.

Baron, our company mascot, is a handsome German Shepherd who has been with us for 8 years. He is an enthusiastic company greeter, charming supporter, and playful friend. His presence keeps the mood in the office and on the jobsite upbeat, and he is compensated with dog treats, pets, and a few toys.
