Our Fueled-by-Determination Story

Our story began with Mitchell John, a determined and ambitious individual who, despite facing numerous challenges, refused to let obstacles stand in his way. Mitchell started his journey as a young boy of 10, working on a farm and factory floor, where he developed a passion for packaging. His entrepreneurial spirit and resilience led him to open Louisiana Bag Company in the early 1950s, which eventually evolved into LA PAC and, today, JohnPac.

From Humble Beginnings

Mitchell's journey was marked by setbacks, but his unyielding spirit and sense of determination enabled him to overcome each obstacle. This tireless work ethic and determination were passed on to his sons, David and Peter, who jointly owned and managed Louisiana Bag Company. The brothers expanded the company's offerings to include industrial packaging products, establishing JohnPac as a one-stop packaging solution for customers.

In the late 1990s, the company experienced a significant resurgence, with a new facility and expanded operations. This marked the beginning of a new era of growth, as JohnPac continued to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of its customers.
