Meet the Owners

MJR Services, LLC is proudly owned and operated by Michael and Ashley Rutkowski, a dynamic duo who have transformed their passion for the outdoors into a thriving business. With over ten years of combined experience in the green industry, they have steered MJR Services towards becoming one of southeastern Wisconsin's leading landscaping firms.

Michael's journey began with cutting grass for a handful of residential clients. Through hands-on training and a dedication to mastering his craft, he has honed his skills and become a highly skilled landscaper. His meticulous attention to detail and deep love for the natural world make him an invaluable asset to the team. Michael is involved in every aspect of landscape projects, ensuring that they meet his rigorous standards of excellence.

Ashley is pursuing her landscape horticulture degree at Milwaukee Area Technical College, further strengthening her knowledge and expertise. Her passion for plants, creative design sensibilities, and exceptional interpersonal skills contribute significantly to MJR Services' success. In the future, Ashley aspires to apply her design knowledge and become MJR Services' lead horticulturist.

The Inspiration

The drive behind MJR Services extends beyond a love for landscaping; it is fueled by a profound commitment to inclusivity and celebrating differences. The birth of their son, Nolan, in the summer of 2016, became a defining moment. Nolan was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at birth, reinforcing their belief in focusing on individual strengths and abilities rather than limitations.

Caring for someone with Down Syndrome is a deeply personal journey that requires understanding and celebrating their unique talents. MJR Services, LLC proudly embraces this philosophy, extending its reach beyond the realm of landscaping to become a sponsor of Down Syndrome organizations, actively promoting acceptance and inclusivity within the community.
