Learn, Grow, and Shine with MPS!

Miss Persis Studio of Dance and Performing Arts has been a staple in downtown Arlington, Texas since 1954. We teach kids, young adults, and not-so-young adults in a fun, safe learning environment. From traditional lessons in tap, jazz, and ballet to musical theatre, hip hop, and lyrical, MPS has something for you. Our cotillion classes, which are offered for sixth-grade students, focus on teaching social skills and dances, culminating in a spring fling dance at the Bob Duncan Center.

Our History

In 1954, Miss Persis Studio began in an old three-story house located near the First Methodist Church of Arlington and then moved to downtown Arlington on Main Street. Five years later, another move was made to the brand new Town North Shopping Center, which became our home for some 40 odd years. In 2004, we relocated to Main Street again in historic downtown Arlington. Our purpose is to offer the highest standards of dance education for students of all ages and levels.

Cotillion Classes

Our cotillion classes are designed for sixth-grade students and focus on teaching social skills and dances. Students meet for six sessions plus a spring party, culminating in a spring fling dance at the Bob Duncan Center. Our cotillion classes are a fun and educational way for young people to learn traditional couples dances, etiquette, and proper dining manners.

Community Outreach

Miss Persis Studio is heavily involved in downtown Arlington and around the Metroplex. We perform dozens of "Elf Shows" every December at nursing homes and retirement facilities, bringing joy and cheer to those in need. We also perform at fairs and carnivals, and are the home to Dance Theatre of Arlington.
