As the owner of SoCal Recycling, I am committed to providing our communities with a safe and efficient way to redeem recyclable materials for cash. Our fixed recycling centers are conveniently located throughout the community, offering residents a reliable dropoff point for glass, aluminum, and plastic containers. In July 2020 we launched a pilot mobile recycling program with Culver City, bringing our recycling center to multiple locations throughout the week. This mobile service increases accessibility, allowing residents to recycle and receive payment without leaving their vehicles. At each mobile stop, our technicians separate materials, weigh them, and issue cash payments on site, ensuring a contactless experience. We accept a wide range of beverage containers, including sport drinks, noncarbonated water, fruit drinks, beer, wine coolers, carbonated water, soft drinks, carbonated fruit drinks, coffee and tea beverages, and vegetable juice up to 16 ounces.To maintain safety during the COVID19 pandemic, we require face masks and enforce social distancing at all collection points. Daily load limits are set at 25 pounds of aluminum, 25 pounds of plastic, and 100 pounds of glass per vehicle to streamline processing. Materials should be placed in the vehicle trunk to facilitate contactless service and efficient handling. Our fixed locations operate with set hours, including a brief lunch closure from 12:00pm to 12:30pm each day. Through our fixed and mobile recycling services, we help residents protect the environment while earning cash for their recyclables.
