Good work isn't cheap, but cheap work isn't good.

AA Animal Clinic was established in 1984, making it the oldest animal hospital in Debary, Florida. Initially located in a store-front office on Saxon Blvd, the clinic moved to its current location on Enterprise Road in 1986. In 1988, the cat boarding facility was opened, offering a safe and comfortable environment for feline friends while their owners are away.

Our clinic boasts a full-service facility, complete with surveillance video for security purposes, ample parking, and piped in music throughout the facility. We are committed to offering top-quality veterinary care for our patients and exceptional customer service for our clients. Our veterinarians and staff understand that your pets are more than just pets; they are family. As fellow pet lovers and pet owners, we pride ourselves on treating your pets as if they were our own.

Our Team

Our team is led by Dr. Sheffield, the Primary Clinician, who ensures continuity of case management. It would be rare for you to see another veterinarian unfamiliar with your pet's condition. Dr. Sheffield was born in Sanford, Florida, obtained his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in Gainesville, Florida in 1982. He prides himself on keeping current by attending conventions and maintaining an extensive library. His wife is also a Veterinarian who is currently the staff Neurosurgeon at the Melbourne Veterinary Emergency Clinic. His pets include a dog named Jax, a Siamese cat named PG13, and a tortoise named Cujo. Dr. Sheffield is a member of the AVMA, FVMA, and past President of the Volusia-Flagler Veterinary Medical Association.

Dawn Dickens has been overseeing all the necessary requirements for our boarding visitors for over seven years, as well as handling reception needs. She has three boxers and two cats at home. When not here tending to a variety of tasks, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son working in the yard and around her home.

Patient Portal and Emergency Treatment

We recommend you bring in any medical history, including vaccination history, for your pet on your first visit. We also highly recommend a complete physical examination for all pets on their first visit. This allows us to familiarize ourselves with your pet and to establish a baseline for future care. From there, our veterinarians will work closely with you to determine a schedule for care, including exams and any necessary treatments.

In the event of an accident, please contact us immediately by calling 407-416-5689. We can properly diagnose your dog, cat, or pet and perform emergency surgery during our regular business hours.

Testimonials and Reviews

We are proud of the positive feedback we have received from our clients. Here are a few testimonials:

"My Mom adopted a kitten (my best friend Zoey) from AA Animal Clinic and I am so happy. They made sure she had been tested for everything and had her first shots. She was so much healthier than kittens I have got from the humane society." - Lucas S
