Our story begins with the founding of Stay-Light Lighting in Wisconsin by Jim and Joanne Driscoll in the early 1970s. With a background in sales and a passion for lighting, Jim recognized the importance of providing energy-efficient solutions to businesses. This vision became the cornerstone of our company's philosophy, and we have been committed to it ever since.

Our journey began in the basement of our west-side home in Madison, where Jim would sell jobs during the day and work evenings and weekends to install them. As the business grew, we moved to a shop on Terrace Avenue in Middleton in 1973. The energy crises of the 1970s raised consumer awareness of energy-saving products, and Jim saw an opportunity to make a difference. He began installing energy-efficient lighting solutions, making PKK Lighting one of the first companies in the state to do so.

Throughout the 1980s, we continued to grow, and our commitment to energy efficiency remained unwavering. We pioneered the concept of rack-job deliveries and established a Lighting Inventory Control system for our customers, ensuring they always had a ready supply of light bulbs without the need for full case quantities. We also introduced the concept of free delivery with no extra charges.
