The Dance Studio

At The Dance Studio, we believe that dance is not just about performing steps, but rather about becoming one with the rhythm and movement. Under the expert guidance of our artistic director, Amy Famiglietti, we aim to provide a diverse and unique performing arts education to students of all ages and skill levels. Our studio is dedicated to fostering a fun and artistic environment where students can explore their passion for dance and develop their skills.

Since Amy took over the studio in 2006, we have expanded our class offerings and established three dance companies - The Senior Dance Company, Junior Elite Dance Company, and Junior Dance Company. These companies offer additional performance opportunities to our most dedicated and passionate dancers. Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with some of the best dancers, choreographers, and dance educators in the industry, including Matt Steffanina, Derek Mitchell, Rosero Mccoy, Mary Antonini, Victor Smalley, Angel Armas, and Lucas Triana.

Our dance companies have had the opportunity to compete and perform at prestigious events such as the Pulse Dance Convention, Radix Dance Convention, and Nuvo Dance Convention. They have also graced the stage at the Walt Disney World Resort eight times, performed as the opening act for the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden, and appeared at numerous local events including the Boston Aids Walk on the esplanade, Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, Faneuil Hall as part of the Rockette Opening Act Competition, Prudential Center Winter Light's Festival, and Connect for Connecticut. Additionally, our dancers have been featured in an HGTV renovation show and a marketing campaign commercial for a Boston-based marketing company.

At The Dance Studio, we strive to provide a well-rounded dance education that stays current with the evolving dance world and community. Whether you're looking to pick up dancing after a long hiatus, give it a first try, or pursue a challenging dance education to help build a future in the performance industry, we have something to offer for everyone. Our mission is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where students can grow as dancers and individuals, and we are committed to helping each student reach their full potential.

Services Offered

We offer a variety of dance classes for all age groups and skill levels, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and gymnastics. Our main season classes run from September to June, and we also offer summer dance programs for those who want to keep dancing year-round. In addition to our regular classes, we provide private instruction for students who need extra guidance or want to prepare for auditions or competitions.

For younger dancers, we offer birthday parties and other special events that combine fun with dance education. Our faculty is comprised of experienced and passionate dance instructors who are dedicated to providing a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Awards and Recognition

Over the years, we have received numerous awards and recognition for our commitment to excellence in dance education. In 2009 and 2010, we were awarded Honorable Mention for Best Dance Studio in Medford by the Readers Choice Awards. In 2018, we received the Regional Gold Award for Top Dance School in the Region and were named the #1 Dance School in Medford by Wicked Local Reader's Choice. We were also recognized as the #1 Gymnastics School in Medford that year. In 2019, we received the Regional Silver Award and were again named the #1 Dance Studio in Medford. In 2020, we were once again recognized as the #1 Dance Studio in Medford by Wicked Local Reader's Choice.
