Gull Rock Pottery is a family-run business founded on the principles of artistic expression, sustainable practices, and functional design. Crafted by Torj and Kurt Wray in Hancock, Maine, every piece of pottery tells a story through vibrant cobalt blues and elegant brushwork.

The Creators

With diverse backgrounds, Torj and Kurt merged their unique skills to establish Gull Rock Pottery. Torj, a skilled potter, honed her craft at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred. Kurt, a research chemist, brought his analytical mindset to the studio, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.

Inspired by the beauty of their surroundings, the Wray's designs capture the essence of the Maine coast with graceful brushstrokes and calming colors. Committed to sustainability, they work primarily with sustainable materials and energy-efficient processes.
