Boyd Library

Sandhills Community College is a public institution located in Pinehurst, North Carolina, dedicated to providing quality education to students from various backgrounds. Established in 1963, the college has grown to offer more than 100 associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. We are committed to the belief that every student should have the opportunity to pursue higher education, regardless of financial resources.

Our division of Continuing Education provides a range of non-credited classes to help students meet their professional and personal development goals. We welcome veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, national guard, dependents, and spouses. At Sandhills, we recognize the unique and specific needs of our military-connected students and offer support and resources to help them achieve success.

Affordability

We are committed to making higher education affordable for all students. Our Financial Aid office guides students through the financial aid system to make costs more manageable. We offer various financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs. In 2022-23, we awarded over $6,441,404 in financial aid to our students.

Community & Cultural Engagement

Sandhills is an integral part of the community, providing cultural and educational events for students and community members. We offer various clubs, organizations, and athletic programs that allow students to engage in campus life. Our library has over 70,000 books and provides access to various online resources.
