Our Team

The Madera Team is a diverse group of seasoned craftspeople with backgrounds in luxury yacht interiors, kitchen and bath design, cabinet production, home remodeling, fine carpentry, and metal fabrication. Carlos Taylor-Swanson: Founder and Master Craftsman

Carlos comes from a family of educators, artists, and amateur woodworkers. His professional woodworking background spans 40 years, beginning in a Chicago area picture framing shop and winding through the art world, rough and finish carpentry, and luxury yacht interiors. His most formative experiences, however, came from building yacht interiors for 10 years in Washington state. During this time, he acquired a deep understanding of the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, which now form the foundation of Madera's business ethos.
