About Mark McGovern

Our founder and lead tutor, Mark McGovern, has a strong educational background in both science and English. With a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition, Mark is well-equipped to provide a comprehensive learning experience that covers a wide range of subjects. His extensive experience in the Navy, where he served on the USS Maine (SSBN-741), has given him a strong foundation in problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork.

Pricing

Our pricing is designed to be flexible and accommodating to different schedules and needs. We offer one-on-one tutoring sessions, both in-person and online, starting at $100 per hour. We also offer package deals for a discounted rate, with options for 5, 10, and 15 hours of tutoring. For students who require more extensive support, we offer block sessions that can be tailored to your specific needs.

Test Preparation and College Entrance Essay Review

In addition to our tutoring services, we also offer SAT/ACT test preparation and college entrance essay review. Our comprehensive test preparation program is designed to help students achieve their highest score potential. We also offer independent college entrance essay review, which includes proofreading, formatting, ideation assistance, organization, and rewording suggestions.
