Green's Pharmacy stands proud as a cornerstone of Fortuna, California, nestled within a building brimming with history. Originally erected in 1876, our storefront served as the Star Hotel, a landmark immortalized in numerous historical photographs of the town. As time marched on, the Star Hotel gracefully transitioned into diverse establishments, harboring a liquor store, a variety store, a shoe store, a barber shop, even the beloved Newell Cake and Ice Cream Parlor. In a testament to the building's enduring charm and our commitment to our community, we commissioned renowned local artists Helen and Heather Rust to craft the captivating mural gracing our north wall in 1997. We envisioned this mural as a vibrant tribute to Fortuna's past, capturing the essence of a bygone era with a charming portrayal of a small town main street scene, complete with our very own drugstore.

Embracing the legacy of this historic building, we proudly purchased it from the Lauffenburgers in 1999, adding this cherished piece of Fortuna's history to our own. Our unwavering dedication to our community extends beyond our commitment to history. We are continuously striving to refine our services, ensuring we meet and exceed the needs of our valued customers. In 2006, we made a significant investment in our pharmacy, upgrading our robotic system with a state-of-the-art Parata Robotic Dispensing System. This remarkable system not only guarantees pinpoint accuracy in every prescription but also elevates our capacity, enabling us to efficiently manage a growing volume of prescriptions while maintaining prompt and personalized service. This technological advancement allows our team to dedicate more time and attention to answering your questions, addressing your concerns, and offering personalized consultations.

Complementing our commitment to excellence, we are honored to have Fortuna's Centennial Clock proudly displayed right outside our doors. Installed in 2007, this precious clock serves as a constant reminder of Fortuna's rich heritage while symbolizing our forward-looking vision for the future.
