We are dedicated to empower our youth of today in the art of keyboard performance through music education from beginner to advanced levels. Our studio mission is to continue to develop keyboard performers to achieve their maximum potential in the art of performing through music education from beginner to advanced levels.

About the Studio

The Marilou Padilla Gallardo Piano/Organ/Keyboard Studio, in operation since 1990, is located in 7411 Roanne Drive, Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745 with a following of more than ninety enrolled keyboard students from the metro Washington D.C., Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia areas. We offer both onsite lessons at the studio location, as well as online classes via FaceTime, Skype, and Google Meet!

Our studio specializes in quality private piano, organ, keyboard lessons from beginner to advanced levels and accepts students from 4 to adult. The emphasis of the studio is in the development of the keyboard performer to the advanced stages of performing. Lesson programs are designed to meet the specific individual needs of each student. All genres and styles of keyboard music are taught. This includes a balance of method studies, theory, sight reading, technique and repertoire appropriate for the student's graded level of proficiency.

Concert repertoire for study include classical, Latin, Jazz, Religious/Gospel, Filipino and Contemporary popular music. Concerts, recitals and other performance opportunities and venues are highly encouraged and available for the musical development and benefit of the students.

About the Teacher

Marilou Padilla-Gallardo is the teacher, principal operator and director of the studio. She has been teaching for over 30 years and has extensive experience in teaching students of all ages and skill levels. She is dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for her students, and she strives to help them reach their full potential as musicians.

Products and Specialty Courses

Our studio offers a variety of products and specialty courses to meet the needs of our students. These include:

1. Graded standard piano method and technical studies from primer, intermediate and advanced levels

2. Piano concert repertoire in classical, jazz, religious/gospel, rhythm and blues, Latin, Broadway, movie and contemporary music genres

3. Music theory from beginner to advanced levels which includes transposition, chords, scales and arpeggios

4. Jazz improvisation and contemporary keyboard studies from beginner to advanced levels

5. Early childhood instruction (from four years of age) and instruction to children with special disabilities

6. Organ method studies and pedal technique from primer to advanced levels which include popular, jazz, classical and religious organ repertoire

7. Online piano, organ, and keyboard instruction
