Welcome to The Marketplace, where antiques, collectibles, and household decor come to life. Located in Albemarle, North Carolina, our store is a destination that caters to every sort of buyer and collector. Our journey began in 2006, when our owner, Christy Wood, decided to pursue her passion for antiques and collectibles. With a background in sales and marketing, Christy left the corporate world to start a new venture. She began by opening a consignment store and eventually moved into the antique and collectibles market.

Our Story

Over the years, we have grown from a small consignment store to a full-fledged antique mall, featuring over 150 vendors. Our team is comprised of dedicated and knowledgeable staff who are committed to providing an excellent customer experience. Our vendors are also our staff, and they have a vested interest in our success. This approach ensures that our customers receive personalized attention and expert advice.

We take pride in offering a wide range of products, from antiques and collectibles to household decor. Our product selection includes furniture, artwork, jewelry, vintage clothing, and much more. We also offer new gift items and a full line of Dixie Belle Paint Products. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just starting your journey, we have something for everyone.

Full Service Liquidations

We understand that the process of liquidating a loved one's estate or business can be overwhelming. That's why we offer full-service liquidations, including complete and partial estate liquidations, as well as household and business liquidation services. Our team has the skills and experience to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

DIY Classes & Workshops

In addition to our vast product selection, we offer a variety of DIY classes and workshops in our in-house studio. From furniture painting to craft classes and sip-and-paint workshops, we have something for every creative interest. Check out our DIY Workshops page for more information.

Vendor & Booth Rental Information

Are you interested in joining our team of vendors? We welcome applications from vendors who sell antiques, vintage, collectibles, gift items, and home accent items. We also encourage creative vendors who build, create, up-cycle, and believe in helping our environment. Please complete our vendor application and submit it along with at least 4 pictures of your current retail space or the type of items you will be selling in your booth space. You can submit the application via email to thealbemarlemarketplace@hotmail.com or drop it off at our location.
