Welcome to McCall Taekwondo, your trusted martial arts school in McCall, Idaho. We are a proud extension program of the UC Martial Arts Program (UCMAP) based out of UC Berkeley, with a rich legacy of instruction that spans over two decades. Our mission is to support our local community by providing high-quality martial arts education that cultivates physical strength, mental focus, and moral values.

Our Services

At McCall Taekwondo, we offer a variety of services tailored to meet the needs of students of all ages and skill levels. Our core service is Taekwondo instruction, which encompasses the principles of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Our classes promote not only physical fitness but also self-discipline, self-confidence, and respect for others.

Our Instructors

Our skilled instructors are dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential. Head instructor Master Angela Staup, 5th Dan, has competed nationally and internationally, winning numerous awards and gaining recognition as a respected international referee. She regularly attends seminars and workshops with USA Taekwondo, Pan-American Taekwondo Union (PATU), and the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) to stay updated on the latest techniques and teaching methodologies.

Our Legacy

McCall Taekwondo was established in 1993 by Master Larry Duke, who opened his third dojang in Idaho here in McCall. Master Angela Staup continued the legacy in 2010, reopening the dojang after graduating from Boise State University with a degree in Economics. Today, McCall Taekwondo proudly carries on the tradition of the UCMAP, the first university martial arts program in the US, founded by Grandmaster Dr. Ken Min in 1969.
