Located in the scenic foothills of Tennessee, The Jet Shop provides your one-stop needs for corporate jet management, maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Whether your aircraft is based out of Knoxville, Tennessee's McGhee Tyson Airport, you are just stopping by, or you need us to come to you, The Jet Shop will assist you with most any job - big or small - on your corporate jet aircraft.

The Benefit of Experience

Owner and Operator, Jim Collins, began his aviation career in the jet engine shop of the United States Air Force. While maintaining a full-time position in the Air Force as the engine shop supervisor on swing shift, Jim also went to school full-time during the day to earn his Airframe & Powerplant Certificates. As a civilian, he focused on the type of aircraft he most enjoyed - corporate jets - through work with Whittle Communications and later as Lead Mechanic for the Cessna Citation Service Center Division. Jim then became the first Chief of Maintenance for First Tennessee Bank's Aviation Department. After choosing to return to the area where he grew up, Jim now works out of the McGhee Tyson Airport near Knoxville, Tennessee, and maintains the jets of several nationally-known companies. He is also an active member of the National Business Aviation Association.

• Full-time management of aircraft to keep your plane ready to fly when you are, including flight crew scheduling, monthly reporting for maintenance records and tracking, stocking of supplies and cleaning
• Troubleshooting and repairs, including sheet metal fabrication
• Service checks with pre- and post-flight inspections
• Accident/incident investigations and recovery of aircraft, including repair
• Scheduled and unscheduled inspections (in-house)
• Brokerage and consultation services such as aircraft purchases, pre-buy recommendations and inspections
• Coordination and/or representation for all maintenance needs while at other maintenance providers
