Detroit Hoist is a Michigan based company with a rich history that dates back to 1905. Founded as the Pillings Air Engine Works, the company was renamed to Detroit Hoist & Machine Co. in 1907 with the goal of engineering, manufacturing, and selling quality air- and electric-operated hoists and cranes. Over the years, Detroit Hoist has established strong relationships with many leading manufacturers in Michigan and across the nation, becoming a trusted provider of wire rope hoists.

Our Products

Detroit Hoist offers a range of wire rope hoists designed to meet the needs of various industries. Our hoists are known for their quality, durability, and reliability, and are manufactured in-house using the latest technology and equipment.

Our bridge crane end trucks are also designed and manufactured in-house, and are compatible with our wire rope hoists to provide complete crane assemblies. We offer replacement parts for our hoists and end trucks, as well as technical documentation and manuals to support their use.
