Janke General Contractors, Inc. was established in 2001 by Steve Janke and has been headquartered in Athens, Wisconsin, ever since. Initially, the company started with small crews that focused on completing small earthwork and utility projects. Over the years, Janke General Contractors has expanded its capabilities and now performs large civil projects, including dam construction, lock reconstruction, highway and pedestrian bridges, box culverts, large parks & recreational projects, utility construction, and operates a 20,000 SF fabrication facility.

Our team of experts provides consultation, engineering, project management, and design-build services to local and state governments, businesses, and private parties throughout the Midwest. Projects

At Janke General Contractors, we have worked on various projects, including the construction of the longest bicycle bridge ever built in Wisconsin and being named one of the Top Contractors in the Midwest for 2018 by ENR.com. Our projects include:

• Coon Lake Boardwalk, Frederic, WI: Coon Lake Park, separated by Coon Lake, is now bridged together with the completion of the Coon Lake Boardwalk project.
• Korean War Memorial Improvements, Plover, WI: Lake Pacawa's causeway is now renovated with a sturdy and adjustable articulating block cells.
• Railroad Trestle/Trail Bridge Conversion, City and Town of Menasha, Wisconsin: Bridge Work/Marine/Restoration/Utility/Boardwalk/Pedestrian/Bike Trail
• WisDOT - Dodge County Historic Bridges, Dodge County, Wisconsin: Dedication and unique workmanship were required to complete this project.
