The Tucson Federation of Musicians Local 33, a proud affiliate of the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada (AFM), is dedicated to championing the interests of professional musicians in Tucson and Southern Arizona. As a local chapter of the oldest and largest organization exclusively representing musicians, we are committed to ensuring a thriving and respected musical community in our region.
Our members encompass a diverse range of talent, from classical symphonics and jazz ensembles to rock bands and folk musicians. They are the heart and soul of Tucson's vibrant music scene, enriching our lives through their artistry.
Our Mission
Local 33 stands as a strong advocate for musicians, working tirelessly to protect their rights and advance their careers. We actively negotiate fair wages and working conditions, ensuring that musicians are properly compensated for their skills and dedication. We are also committed to preserving the integrity of musicians' work by safeguarding their intellectual property rights through collective bargaining agreements with various industry sectors. These agreements cover a wide spectrum of performance venues, including nightclubs, concert halls, recording studios, and tour productions, ultimately providing musicians with a secure and ethical work environment.
