In 2003, Karen, driven by a newfound sense of freedom after an early retirement from the corporate world, embarked on a journey to fulfill her long-held desire to create personalized items. Starting in the basement of her home with a single-head embroidery machine, Karen, along with Sue, her own family member, and Liz, Sue's best friend, began crafting personalized sweatshirts and blankets for friends and family. Their dedication to quality and attention to detail quickly gained recognition, and word began to spread about their exceptional work.

The demand for Let's Get Personal's creations grew steadily, prompting a move to a physical store within the Alstan Mall in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, in 2003. Expansion brought with it the acquisition of a second embroidery machine, marking a significant step towards fulfilling the burgeoning customer base's diverse needs.
