Welcome to Wilson High School, a school built on tradition, service, and merit since 1937. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive education that fosters long-lasting friendships, creates common memories, and produces leaders with a passion for civic agency. Our students, aka the Mules, are sturdy, loyal, and undaunted by the challenges ahead.

At WHS, we offer a culture of collaboration driven by curiosity, passion, and a determination to solve problems. Our academic programs are designed to provide students with a purposeful education, preparing them to excel in an ever-changing world. We offer two IB programs with vertically articulated curriculum, 14 AP courses, and a thriving community of 21st-century innovators. Our faculty strives to provide research-based instructional practices to prepare and challenge all students to excel academically and develop positive socio-emotional skills.

Invent the Future as an IB World Student

WHS is an IB World School, offering the Diploma Program, making our school the center for quality education that fosters a variety of approaches to scholarship. Our TOK class takes what you think you know and flips it on its head, allowing students to see the world in a whole new way.

College-Going Culture

Our mission is to be an inclusive community that supports emerging and state-of-the-art knowledge with resources to counsel students on their educational paths. We have over 10 outreach partnerships, and our students have received over $1.2 million in scholarships. Our graduation rate for 2018 was 95%, and we continue to strive for excellence.

World Arts and Culture

WHS offers a multicultural, artistic experience created by our faculty and community members. Our students can explore and develop their talents in music, drama, and other arts. Our state-of-the-art facilities, including a full-sized stadium, 3 gyms, 7 labs, and a comprehensive library, provide the perfect setting for students to grow and thrive.

State of the Art Campus

Our beautiful and historic campus spans 42 acres, nestled within the Ascot Hills overlooking the El Sereno community. We offer a comprehensive education with a range of facilities, including 2 basketball courts, 4 tennis courts, and a fully staffed College Corner.
