At The Bicycle Hangar, we have been serving the cycling community of Missoula for over 40 years. Our story began in 1980 when Rick Kern, a passionate cyclist, quit his job at Albertsons and started our iconic bike shop. With a vision to create a welcoming space for cyclists of all levels, Rick's enthusiasm and dedication to the sport led him to open our first location on Brooks Street.

Over the years, our team has grown and expanded, with Rick's sons, Peter and Hailey Kern taking the reins in 2009. Under their leadership, The Bicycle Hangar has expanded its operations, opening new locations and expanding its product offerings.
