From its inception, the philosophy at Parr Vineyards has been simple: the place matters. The winery's location in Mason, with its unique terroir and ideal microclimate, provides the perfect foundation for viticulture and winemaking excellence. Parr Vineyards enjoys warm days that allow the grapes to fully ripen, balanced by cool nights that preserve the delicate acidity and aroma compounds. Started 50 years ago by a veteran couple who savored exquisite dinners paired with fine wines during their time stationed in Europe, Parr Vineyards embodies a dedication to quality and a love for the winemaking process. Inspired by those memorable evenings, they sought to create a winery that showcased the unique characteristics of the Texas Hill Country. They chose Mason, a town nestled amidst rolling hills and boasting a vibrant small-town atmosphere, as the ideal location to bring their vision to life.

Our Wines

Parr Vineyards specializes in crafting exceptional wines from 100% Mason-grown grapes. Their vineyards, planted in 2006, produce a variety of varietals, including Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional, Mourvedre, Graciano, Semillon, Syrah, and Viognier. Each wine reflects the unique terroir and microclimate of the region, showcasing distinct flavors and aromas. Popular wines include the robust and fruit-forward Mourvedre, the elegant and complex Touriga Nacional, and the crisp and refreshing Viognier.

Parr Vineyards also releases a range of unique blends, showcasing the versatility and complexity of their grapes. Wine enthusiasts can explore the bold Red Lane Vintage, a blend of Touriga Nacional and Tempranillo, or the graceful Dance With Me Vintage, a harmonious fusion of Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mourvedre.
