Founded in 2017 by Black Belt Thiago Rodrigues, Torse House Checkmat El Segundo is a Jiu Jitsu gym that offers instruction to students of all skill levels and ages, including kids. Torse, referring to the power the body is able to create, is a key element of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that every student learns to unleash through training. Our mission is to teach Jiu Jitsu in a challenging, fun, and safe environment where students can share in our passion for the sport. Whether you're looking to improve your physical fitness, gain confidence, or learn self-defense techniques, we have a program tailored to your needs.

Jiu Jitsu is an amazing experience for kids, offering character development and personal growth that will impact every area of their life. It's a great way for kids to get into shape, gain confidence, learn respect, improve discipline, and prevent bullying. Our classes are designed for kids from 4 to 17 years old, ensuring a fun and engaging learning environment for all.

Class Schedule and Pricing

We offer classes for all skill levels and ages, with hours ranging from 6am to 8pm Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 12pm on Saturday, and 9am to 10am on Sunday. Our pricing includes a standard monthly rate for unlimited classes, as well as options for a 6-month package and private lessons. We also offer a free trial for El Segundo residents and White Belts with limited experience.
