Winding Road Kennel, located just outside of Parkersburg, WV, is a family-owned and operated business that has been providing top-notch care for beloved companion animals since 1993. Founded by Ron and Denise Rodeheaver, Winding Road Kennel offers a safe, comfortable, and resort-like haven for your furry friends while you're away from home. Our dedicated staff provides superior care and human companionship, ensuring that your pets are treated with the same love and attention they receive at home.

Our Spacious Facilities

Our state-of-the-art kennel boasts spacious and climate-controlled accommodations for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hedgehogs, and more. Each pet enjoys private lodging and runs, with indoor and outdoor accessibility, ensuring they have plenty of room to roam and play. Our on-site laundry facilities allow us to maintain a clean and hygienic environment at all times. We have two large exercise yards where pets can enjoy individualized playtime, socialization, and exercise.

That's why we offer a range of boarding services for all breeds and sizes of companion animals. Our experienced and caring kennel technicians provide round-the-clock care and attention, ensuring your pets are well-fed, groomed, and exercised. We encourage you to bring your pet's favorite treats, toys, or other comfort items to help them feel more comfortable while you're away.

Grooming Services

Our team of licensed groomers, led by owner and Certified Master Groomer Denise Rodeheaver, has years of experience working with all breeds, ages, and sizes of dogs. From standard baths and cuts to specialty salon packages, including flea treatments and de-shedding services, we offer the highest quality grooming and pampering services. We accept grooming clients via appointment or during kennel stays.

Canine Influenza Vaccination Policy

Effective April 1, 2018, we recommend that all dogs that come for boarding and/or grooming be vaccinated for Canine Influenza. This vaccination is a series of two booster shots. While no cases of Canine Influenza have been reported in our area, we believe that this is the most effective way to prevent the spread of the disease to our community. We are happy to provide a list of local veterinarians who offer the vaccine.
