At the Moyer Institute of Dance, we are a family-owned and operated business proudly celebrating over 70 years of providing exceptional dance education to the Central Susquehanna Valley. Our studio is steeped in tradition, with three generations of the Moyer family instilling their love of dance in students since 1952. From ballet to hip hop, contemporary to tap, we offer a wide range of dance classes for students of all ages and skill levels.

Our studio is more than just a place to learn dance techniques; it's a community where students can grow, develop, and thrive. Our experienced instructors are passionate about teaching and are dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters a love of dance in every student. Our Services

At the Moyer Institute of Dance, we offer a variety of services to meet the needs of our students. From recreational dance classes to pre-professional training, we have a program that's right for you. Our dance classes are designed to be fun and engaging, while also providing a solid foundation in dance technique. We also offer specialty classes, such as adult barre fitness, and acro classes, as well as summer camps and workshops.

In addition to our dance classes, we also offer birthday parties, halloween parties, and other special events. Our parties are designed to be fun and interactive, and can be customized to fit your child's unique theme and interests. We also offer community events, such as holiday shows and spring recital performances, which provide our students with the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents.

Our History

The Moyer Institute of Dance was founded in 1952 by Joan Moyer, who moved to Sunbury, PA at the age of 19 to pursue her passion for dance. The studio's first home was the Rescue Hose Company in Sunbury, and later moved to the 2nd floor of the 100F building on Market Street in Lewisburg. In 1963, Joan and her husband Howard Moyer built the beautiful Sunbury studio that we still call home today.

Throughout the years, the Moyer Institute of Dance has continued to grow and thrive, with Kitty Moyer taking over as owner and artistic director in 2012. Today, we are proud to be one of the oldest and most respected dance studios in the Central Susquehanna Valley.
