At Swan River Yoga, we believe that the solutions we seek can be found within. Our mission is to support practitioners on an inward journey through skillful guidance, therapeutic approach, appropriate challenge, and community connection. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment where individuals can cultivate awareness, balance, and harmony in their bodies, minds, and spirits.

The Space

Our unique home is the "Mandir", a three-story wellness center located in the heart of Mid-City, New Orleans. This architecturally significant building provides an abundant, high-ceilinged yoga practice space, accommodating large trainings as well as our weekly rhythm of yoga classes and wellness offerings. We take pride in our Mandir, which has been serving the New Orleans community for over 15 years.

Teachers

Our experienced teachers support practice, drawing on their advanced training, skillful use of our array of high-quality props, and the sacred soundscape to support the therapeutic journey. We believe that the guidance of a skilled teacher can be a powerful catalyst for personal growth and transformation.

Wellness

In addition to our yoga classes, our Mandir also offers one-on-one massage, acupuncture, and yoga alignment sessions for injury prevention and recovery. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest level of care and support for the entire body and mind.

We welcome everyone to join us for in-person practice and services. Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, we offer a range of classes and packages to suit your needs. From Adaptive Yoga to Beginner's Yoga, Bhakti Flow, and more, we have something for everyone.

Choose from our variety of package options, including class packs, monthly unlimited, and traveler's special. Our packages are designed to fit your needs and schedule, whether you're a local or visiting New Orleans.

Class Descriptions

  • Adaptive Yoga: A class designed for every body, regardless of age, ability level, or experience. Props are used to optimize the experience in each pose.
  • Beginner's Yoga: A class for those new to yoga, focusing on building the foundation of the pose, creating space in the spine, and aligning the general form.
  • Beginner's Yoga Level 2: A next step class for beginners or ongoing students, focusing on alignment, slower movements, and introduction to more weight-bearing poses on the upper body.
  • Bhakti Flow: A luxurious 90-minute Sunday afternoon class that weaves storytelling, singing bowls, and harmonium into a soulful flow.

Pricing

  • Class Pack: $22 drop-in or $905, $160, or $280 for class packages
  • Monthly Unlimited: $108 or $150 for unlimited classes
  • Traveler's Special: $65 for 5 classes in 5 days for out-of-town students
