Since 2002, Green Cell Foam has been providing customers with an eco-friendly, compostable alternative to traditional petroleum-based foams. Our mission is to replace polystyrene (EPS), polyurethane (PU), and polyethylene (PE) in single-use packaging for thermal insulating or shock-absorbing applications.

Environmentally Friendly Material

Green Cell Foam is made from U.S.-grown cornstarch, an annually renewable resource, making it a sustainable choice for packaging. Unlike traditional foams, Green Cell Foam is backyard and industrial facility compostable (ASTM D6400 and BPI certified), as well as water-soluble. This unique material combines exceptional cushioning and thermal insulating protection while also protecting the planet.

Disposal Options

Green Cell Foam is not a recyclable material but offers various eco-friendly disposal options. These disposal options include rinsing it down the drain or composting it. Green Cell Foam will compost in 60 days or less, making it safe for your yard or commercial compost facilities. Additionally, when growing flowers or a garden, add pieces of Green Cell Foam to a bucket when watering, as it's a great, natural plant food.
