As a family-owned and operated mixed animal practice located in McAlester, Oklahoma, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for small and large animals alike. Our veterinarian-on-staff, Dr. Melvin Crownover, is a graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University, and has a deep understanding of both large and small animal medicine.

Requested appointments are confirmed quickly, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred day and time. (If you are needing to schedule a surgical procedure, please call the clinic at 918.426.1904.)

At Kiamichi Veterinary Clinic, we take pride in our comprehensive approach to animal care. Hours of Operation
We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with lunch hours from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. We are also open on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and we are closed on Sundays. Please note that Dr. Crownover is not available after 12:00 pm on Wednesdays, but the clinic remains open for non-controlled medication refills and boarding pick-ups and drop-offs.

At Kiamichi Veterinary Clinic, we understand that emergencies can occur at any time. That's why we offer after-hours emergency services for active clients only. This means that you must have been seen within the last calendar year to qualify for these services. We are available to provide emergency care outside of our regular business hours to ensure that your pet receives the attention they need.
