Breaking down barriers, one performance at a time.
At Brown Box Theatre Project, we are dedicated to breaking down barriers that separate people from live theatre. Our mission is to bring the best in performance, design, and collaboration to unconventional venues and underserved destinations, reaching the widest audience possible. For over a decade, we have been touring theatre to communities all over, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have shared our art with so many.
Our Story
Our journey began when our Executive Artistic Director, Kyler Taustin, had the privilege of experiencing live theatre in big cities like DC and New York City as a child. However, he noticed that many people in his hometown region did not have the same access. This realization led him to co-found Brown Box Theatre Project at the age of 22, with the goal of making theatre accessible to everyone, regardless of their geographical location. Over the years, we have grown to serve not just the Delmarva Peninsula but also areas of Massachusetts and Indiana.
Collaborations
Throughout our history, we have collaborated with various artists, designers, and producers to bring our productions to life. Our team has worked tirelessly to increase arts accessibility and take theatre directly to audiences who crave it within their daily lives. We believe in the power of the arts to transform, unify, and engage communities, and we have been proud to be a part of so many meaningful experiences.

At Brown Box Theatre Project, we value the importance of arts accessibility and community engagement.
